Week 3 of Web 2.0.
I enjoyed checking out Flickr and this is definately a great website for storing photos of your precious memories and a site that I would use (something for me to do on a rainy day!).
I think it would be a great site for the library to use, for example to show the construction stages of the new Lakelands Library when building commences and for displaying photos of all the wonderful library events we hold, as well as the community events, such as the Crab Fest.
I decided to post this copy photo of the fireworks taken at the Perth Sky Show. I think it is always a great event for families and friends to spend time together and the City of Perth always puts so much time and effort into it, for so many people of all ages to get so much enjoyment out of.
Well done - you seem to be steaming ahead. Love the choice of photo - you would not believe how difficult it is to photograph fireworks!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about using Flickr to document the building of the new Lakelands Library ...
ReplyDeleteWe store many photos on the history of our libraries in the T drive. Images of staff, the aftermath of the fire at Mandurah and the building of Falcon. Perhaps one day ...... someone ...... maybe a volunteer, could be given a task to upload. Janine
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, L and Janine. It would be great to see how Falcon have developed to what it is today. And now that Lakelands is in the process of being built, it would be valuable to store these photos on a site like Flikr.
